COMPANY OVERVIEW
Founded in 1990, California Organic Fertilizers, Inc., (COFI) is a California C-Corporation located on 14 acres of Company-owned heavy industrial property in the business-friendly Kings County Industrial Park in Hanford, California, the center of California's Central Valley and the heart of California's $43 billion agricultural industry. The Company has been a leading supplier of organic fertilizers to the organic agriculture industry and a pioneering developer of new organic fertilizer products and technologies. Since its early beginnings, COFI has focused on organic fertilizer manufacturing and agronomic services with the belief that the delivery of effective, properly recommended organic fertilizer products will be re-ordered by customers without the need for a large sales force or continuous sales pressure.. Undergirded by its belief that it is critical to maintain strong control over product supply with minimal dependence on other manufacturers, the Company has continually focused on the sale of proprietary products and is not a reseller of other companies' products. COFI manufactures some 26 organic fertilizer products and excels in creating and selling new products that have no direct competition. The Company's 26 products are divided into two product lines: organic dry fertilizers and organic liquid fertilizers. COFI continues to be an industry leader in organic fertilizer R&D as evidenced by its latest BioSecure™ formulation and production technology that produces organic fertilizers that are immune to carrying pathogens, such as E. coli and Salmonella. While the Company's sales are generally in truckload quantities, COFI has a unique reputation in the market because of its capability to provide less-than-truckload quantities of fertilizers, allowing many of its customers the ability to buy smaller quantities of several products in a single order.
