We promote and distribute small-batch traditional mezcal by uniting numerous small, family producers under one brand. Since launching in the US in late 2018, Cuentacuentos, which has a portfolio of over two dozen core and revolving types of traditional mezcal, is available in some of the United States’ and Australia’s finest retailers, restaurants, and bars.

Mezcal has been made in small batches by family producers in Mexico for over 400 years using environmentally sustainable production methods.

Our company has developed a platform to allow mezcal lovers around the world access to these superb and authentic mezcals while still maintaining the traditional production methods.

We are able to meet the demand for excellent quality products by adding new family producers and lending to them so that they can grow at their own pace. Moreover, we buy their products at a fair price. In fact, we let the producers themselves set their own prices and help them understand the resulting consumer feedback.

In short, we select the mezcal we sell for quality, but we do our best to stay out of the way of tradition. When we started this journey, we were convinced that people who love agave distillates will pay for quality and authenticity. So far, we have been proven correct in our assumption.
