Jason H......

Jason H...... is the President & CEO of Nanosys Inc.

He joined Nanosys in 2008 with a proven track record of turning emerging technologies into successful commercial products.

Prior to joining Nanosys, he was President of the Imaging Solutions Division of MagnaChip Semiconductor in Seoul, South Korea, where he turned an internally focused semiconductor group into a multinational company.

Before MagnaChip, Mr. H...... was Vice President and General Manager of the Sensor Solutions Division of Agilent Technologies, a Hewlett-Packard owned company. At Agilent, he led the commercial development and application of optical position sensing technology, which resulted in everyday products like the optical mouse and image sensors for digital cameras.

Mr. H...... is the author of more than 20 patents, including the winner of the Hewlett Award in 2004 for best patent.

John P......

John P...... is the CFO of Nanosys Inc.

Mr. P...... brings over 20 years of financial and corporate leadership experience to Nanosys.

Most recently, Mr. P...... was the CEO and Founder of a cloud based computing company.

Prior to this, he held numerous Financial Management roles at leading semiconductor and electronics firms. As VP of Finance for Nvidia, he led a companywide re-engineering of its ERP and financial systems and processes.

At Agilent Technologies, Mr. P...... was the Division CFO for the Imaging Electronics Division, which he helped lead from inception to $1B in revenue. Additionally, he spent a dozen years with Hewlett-Packard in various financial management roles. This included Division CFO for the Optoelectronics Division where he was the financial lead in the creation and launch of the Lumileds joint venture in solid state lighting between Philips and HP.

Dr. J......

Dr. J...... is the Vice President of Research & Development at Nanosys Inc.

He is leading the development of a new generation of lighting technology based on quantum dots. Since joining Nanosys in 2002, Dr. has Directed Research efforts across a variety of applications, including solid-state memory, thin-film solar and macroelectronics.

Prior to joining Nanosys, Dr. spent four years at Seagate Technology, developing spin-valve read-heads for magnetic hard-drives.

Dr. has a Ph.D. in condensed matter Physics from the Ohio State University.

He completed Post Doctorate Research at the University of Florida.

He is the Author of 26 patents.

Andrew F...... is the Vice President of Intellectual Property at Nanosys Inc.

He has expertise Managing Intellectual Property across an array of technology and medical companies.

Mr. F...... previously served as Chief Intellectual Property Counsel at Caliper Technologies, Senior Associate Attorney at Weil, Gotshal & Manges.

Also as Director of Intellectual Property at Corvascular.

Clinton is a co-founder and Managing Director of ARCH Venture Partners. Mr. concentrates primarily on advanced materials, electronics, semiconductors, photonics, and infrastructure businesses.

Mr. has helped organize and finance numerous companies including MicroOptical Devices (acquired by EMCORE), Cambrios Technologies, Aveso, Innovalight, Intelligent Reasoning Systems (acquired by Photon Dynamics), Semprius, Nanosys, and Xtera Communications.

He is a board member of Impinj, Innovalight, Cambrios Technologies, Xtera Communications, Nitronex and Aveso. Mr. is an organizing member of the Texas Venture Capital Association and currently serves as its first President.

Previously, Mr. worked with ARCH Development Corporation. He also managed a venture investment fund for the State of Illinois and was a production engineer with Amoco Corporation.

From 1989 to 2011, he was Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of American Superconductor Corporation, a power technologies company that he co-founded in 1987 .

He was Professor of Materials Science and Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1976 to 1988 .

He holds a Professional Director Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors.

He joined the company in 2002 . In this role, Steve provides executive leadership for Medtronic scientific research, formation of technological strategies and continued development of strong cooperative relationships with the world's medical communities, technical universities, financial institutions and emerging medical device companies.

Previously, Steve served as Associate Professor of Medicine at the Harvard University Medical School.

Larry was a co-founder and executive chairman of Nanosys, Inc. Prior to Nanosys, he was a managing general partner of CW Group, a life sciences venture capital fund. Larry was also a general partner of Avalon Ventures, a seed stage venture capital firm.

Larry has been the founder and initial chief executive officer of Metra Biosystems, Inc., Neurocrine Biosciences, Inc. (NASDAQ: NBIX - neuroimmunology), Pharmacopeia, Inc. Prior to Harris & Harris Group, he served as a consultant to Nanosys, Inc., CW Group, and Bioscale, Inc., and was the co-founder and President of Scientific Venture Assessments, Inc. Dr. graduated from Harvard University with a Ph.D. and A.M. in Chemistry and was a NSF Pre-doctoral Fellow. Prior to Harvard, Dr. graduated from Rice University with a B.A. in Chemistry. He has published over 15 articles in scientific peer-reviewed journals and works with a number of portfolio companies of Harris & Harris Group, including SiOnyx, Nextreme Thermal Solutions, Ensemble Discovery, Nanosys and Nantero.

Professor Y...... is a co-founder of Alphabet Energy and sits on the company's scientific advisory board.

He previously co-founded Nanosys, Inc. He is currently the S. K. and Angela Chan Distinguished Chair Professor in Energy in the Departments of Chemistry and Materials Science at UC Berkeley, and is a senior faculty scientist at the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He is the deputy director for the Center of Integrated Nanomechanical Systems.

Dr. Jim H...... is Gilloon Professor and Professor of Chemistry at the California Institute of Technology. He received a B.Sc. degree in chemistry from Baylor University in 1984, and a Ph.D. degree in chemistry from Rice University in 1988, where he studied in the group of Richard E. Smalley.

Dr. H...... was a Miller Postdoctoral Fellow at UC Berkeley from 1988 to 1991, and a research staff member at the IBM T.J. Watson Research Labs in Yorktown Heights, New York from 1991 to 1994. In 1994 he left IBM to join the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UCLA. He was the founding director of the California NanoSystems Institute (CNSI), prior to moving to Caltech in 2003.
