Thropic is a social impact platform that allows brands and consumers to engage with the causes they truly care about. Core offering is the ability to run fundraising campaigns on a single platform that optimizes millennial engagement.

Small and grassroots nonprofits seeking fundraising, support for legislative change and community volunteers operate in a fragmented environment. Without a central community to congregate, these groups struggle to reach users, especially the youth. Our mission is to give younger donors and smaller charities an easier way to incentivize their fundraising efforts.

Thropic's platform caters to the market’s need for discovery, management, and monetization by incentivizing philanthropic donations with incentives from corporate partners. We facilitate giving from our donors by offering them rewards from our corporate partners.

There are hundreds of crowdfunding platforms within the United States. According to Bloomberg, this market is poised to reach $90 billion by 2022, up from approximately $47 billion in 2018, at a CAGR of 17%. Reward and donation crowdfunding platforms generated $5.5 billion in revenue in 2019. Overall, this is a large and growing market with significant tailwinds.

In terms of competition, the closest competitor is likely Omaze Raffle, which raises money by raffling off VIP experiences and luxury items. According to Crunchbase, Omaze has raised $12 million to date.

Since November of 2018, Thropic has acquired over 1,000 users on its website through social awareness campaigns and events. The company has participated in 25 charity events and raised over $100,000 for 14 of its nonprofit partners.

Notably, the company secured a partnership with a donor software company called Givinga. That partnership provides Thropic access to over 1.5 million nonprofits to feature on its platform, and also allows the company to issue tax-receipts to its donors.

Founder & CEO Max Skinner founded the company to honor his late mother who sadly lost her life to suicide in 2014. Max has over five years of marketing and sponsorship experience from DraftKings, the Boston Red Sox and Raycom Sports.
