Tribune Media Group will publish and operate The Loudoun Tribune, a 50+ page newspaper, mailed to 100K residents in Loudoun County, VA. Profits will be generated through the sale of advertising space in the print and online publications.

Tribune Media Group, LLC, (“TMG”) is a Virginia Limited Liability Corporation and start-up company founded to publish and operate The Loudoun Tribune (“The Tribune”). The Tribune will be a non-subscription based 50+ page printed newspaper, mailed to approximately 100K residential addresses in Loudoun County and with an accompanying website.

TMG will be a for profit business. Profits will be generated through the sale of advertising space in the print and online publications.

TMG will provide superior products that generate business opportunities and solve problems for clients in a large, affluent and growing market through effective advertising, marketing and distribution strategies.

TMG will follow a proven revenue-based business model. Structurally, instead of being a core group of journalists who use a secondary staff to sell advertising and support overhead, the business model and core competency will be to have a team that generates advertising revenue while separately employing skilled local management and journalists to produce the publications and enhance their reputation.

The Tribune, as most newspapers, will be an advertising vehicle in the form of a newspaper, operating with a balance of content that is approximately 85% advertising and 15% editorial.

Responsible for general management, policy development, communications, membership services and general administration, Tom also served as the association’s chief lobbyist and spokesman on business matters affecting the building products and manufacturing industries. Tom joined the CPA in 1994 and previously owned a precursor to DCi. Prior to that he spent nine years working for Washington Gas and the natural gas industry.
